PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF

We can offer a free pick-up/drop-off service in South Sheffield (S8). Dronfield - a small charge (£10) applies. For other locations, please enquire.

If you choose to visit us at Furchester Lodge or you are dropping off your animal yourself, please phone to arrange a suitable time.

ACCOMMODATION

Guinea pigs - single or double tiered hutches. Access to outdoor runs weather permitting. In winter we also offer home boarding in indoor hutches/cages with daily floor time offered.

Rabbits - large double hutch in our converted basement/garage, with lots of space to run.

Gerbils, Mice, Rats, Hamsters, Birds and Ferrets - welcomed with their own cages and housed indoors.

ROUTINES

Enclosures and hutches are cleaned in the morning, the animals get fresh bedding and clean water. Fresh leafy greens are fed in the morning, dry nuggets once per day (supplied, unless you'd rather use your own brand). We may ask you to bring your pet's usual dry food to avoid sudden changes in diet. Access to fresh hay at all times. The cabin is locked overnight. The guinea pigs and rabbits will be handled and groomed (if they are tame enough and this is your preference) and will be given a visual check twice a day to make sure they stay in good health. 

HOUSE VISITS - PET SITTING

As an alternative to boarding, we offer pet sitting in your home or garden. Some owners feel that this is a less stressful option for their pets, as they are not removed from the familiar environment. This will also be a cheaper option if you own many pets.

We would clean their hutches/cages, change the bedding, feed them, replenish fresh water and hay. They would be given a basic visual health check to ensure they are doing fine.

PET TAXI

We can provide transport to and from the vets. Carriers are provided if necessary. Priced depending on the distance and time of day. Insured for animal transport with Protectivity.
